The Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy: The Companion to Three Books of Occult Philosophy
Edit by Donald Tyson

The Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy, by Henry Cornelius Agrippa and unnamed others, is considered one of the cornerstones of Western magic, and the grimoires it contains are among the most important that exist in the Western tradition. For more than three hundred years, this mysterious tome has been regarded as difficult or even impossible to understand—until now. Occult scholar Donald Tyson presents a fully annotated, corrected, and modernized edition of Stephen Skinner’s 1978 facsimile edition of the original work, which was six tracts published as one volume in 1655. For the first time, these classic works of Western magic have been rendered fully accessible to the novice practitioner, as well as occult scholars and skilled magicians. Tyson presents clear instruction and practical insight on a variety of magic techniques, providing contemporary magicians with a working grimoire of the arcane.

Scales of the Black Serpent:
Basic Qlippothic Magick
By Michael Ford

THE ORDER OF PHOSPHORUS is an initiatory order of practitioners focused on Luciferian and Left Hand Path Magick and ideology. While traditional Cabalists and Magickans view the Qlippoth as an Unclean and perverse inversion of the Tree of Life, suggesting that those who practice Magick avoid it due to the dangers within. The 22 Scales of the Serpent are the Spheres and Tunnels of the Qlippoth which allow the Black Adept or Luciferian the ability to gain power from the depths of knowledge. Qlippothic demons and Archdemons are deep symbols of primal wisdom and possibility.

Magick of the Ancient Gods
By Michael Ford

Perhaps you have sought for the hidden mysteries of the old gods, only to find a one-sided "white light" interpretation, the shadow often being diluted to suit general public consumption. If you have sought the Pagan gods in their balanced form - being of both light and darkness, you will be able to pass through the veiled tests of "good" and "evil" to understanding human nature and spirituality. Magick of the Ancient Gods presents techniques adapted from ancient hymns, spells and rituals from long overlooked Greek, Roman and Eastern religious lore as well as the role of the Olympian and Chthonic Gods in spirituality. The Left Hand Path offers instruction and guidance towards working with these Gods and Goddesses to become "God Manifest" or transforming the self into a living deific power.

Occult America:
The Secret History of How Mysticism Shaped Our Nation
By Mitch Horowitz

It touched lives as disparate as those of Frederick Douglass, Franklin Roosevelt, and Mary Todd Lincoln- who once convinced her husband, Abe, to host a séance in the White House. Americans all, they were among the famous figures whose paths intertwined with the mystical and esoteric movement broadly known as the occult. Brought over from the Old World and spread throughout the New by some of the most obscure but gifted men and women of early U.S. history, this "hidden wisdom" transformed the spiritual life of the still-young nation and, through it, much of the Western world. Yet the story of the American occult has remained largely untold. Now a leading writer on the subject of alternative spirituality brings it out of the shadows. Here is a rich, fascinating, and colorful history of a religious revolution and an epic of offbeat history. From the meaning of the symbols on the one-dollar bill to the origins of the Ouija board, Occult America briskly sweeps from the nation's earliest days to the birth of the New Age era and traces many people and episodes.

The Psychopath's Bible:
For the Extreme Individual
By Christopher S. Hyatt

In the most of the world, psychopaths have gotten a bad rap. That, of course, is quite understandable since almost all of the world's religious and social philosophies have little use for the individual except as a tool to be placed in service to their notion of something else: 'God,' or the 'collective,' or the 'higher good' or some other equally undefinable term. Only rarely, such as in Zen; in Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism; in some aspects of Tibetan Buddhism and Hinduism; and in some schools of Existentialism, is the individual considered primal. Here, finally, is a book which celebrates, encourages and educates the best part of ourselves. This 2nd revised edition includes over 100 pages of new material including exercises, tests and techniques.

The Sorcerer's Secrets: Strategies in Practical Magick
By Jason Miller

This book is about real magick, effecting real change, in a real world. There are some books on magick that teach it purely as spiritual advancement. Others teach it as a form of psychological self-help that effects only inner change. While magick can and should be both of these, it is also something more. The Sorcerer's Secrets is about success in practical magick; it is a book that aims at changing both the outer and inner worlds. Beyond a mere spell book or training course, The Sorcerer's Secrets is a field manual on successful sorcery written by a professional sorcerer. The first part of the book lays out the qualities, concepts, and exercises necessary to attempt practical magick. The second part presents clear strategies for tackling almost any type of issue with sorcery. The Sorcerer's Secrets will help rescue the art of Magick from those who have ignored, downplayed, or just outright denied the existence of practical sorcery in favor of arcane titles, intangible results, and fantasy attainments..

Arbatel: Concerning the Magic of Ancients
By Joseph Peterson

In many ways, Arbatel is unique among texts on magic. Unlike the vast majority of writings, it is clear, concise, and elegantly written. The practical instructions are straightforward and undemanding. When it first appeared in 1575, it attracted the attention of people with a surprisingly broad range of agendas, including some of the finest minds of the time. Often quoted and reprinted, both praised and condemned, its impact on western esoteric philosophy has been called “overwhelming.” Arbatel’s magic is full of wonder and free from the sinister elements usually associated with texts on the subject. But it is about more than magic; filled with gnomic wisdom, it urges us to help our neighbors, be positive and grateful, and use time wisely. Above all, it teaches us to pay attention, looking for the wondrous and miraculous. In fact, to the author this virtually defines the magus. Included are illustrations, bibliography, index, and original Latin text.

Love, Sex, Fear, Death:
The Inside Story of The Process Church of the Final Judgment
By Timothy Wyllie, Adam Parfrey (Editor)

The Process Church of the Final Judgment was the apocalyptic shadow side of the flower-powered '60s and perhaps the most notorious cult of modern times. Scores of black-cloaked devotees swept the streets of New York, San Francisco, London, Paris, Rome, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New Orleans and other cities selling magazines with titles like Sex, Fear, Love and Death. The Process' no-holds-barred theology brought on accusations of sinister conspiracies. Personalities like Marianne Faithfull, George Clinton and Mick Jagger participated in Process publications, and Funkadelic reproduced Process material in two of their albums.

Love Sex Fear Death — written by original Process Church member Timothy Wyllie — is the first book to provide the astonishing inside story of this fascinating group and the mysterious woman at its center. Included are contributions from six other former members and Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, as well as never-before-seen photographs and reproductions from rare Process publications.

The Enochian Evocation of Dr. John Dee
By Geoffrey James

Based on the transcriptions of Dr. John Dee, the famous Elizabethan scientist and magus, The Enochian Evocation of Dr. John Dee is the translation of the original material received from direct Angelic contact. In 1852 Dee and his partner Edward Kelly, while gazing into a crystal stone, began to see and hear angels. These beings desired to re-establish the true art of magic, which had been lost due to man’s wickedness and ignorance. The true magical art, these beings claimed, would bestow superhuman powers upon its practitioners, change the political structure of Europe, and herald the coming of the Apocalypse. Dee believed this research would greatly benefit mankind and documented all of the channeled information into a series of manuscripts and workbooks. Author Geoffrey James presents here the direct translation of the core of the channeled material itself, framed in a historical context, with authority and integrity.

Grimoires: A History of Magic Books
By Owen Davies

No books have been more feared than grimoires, and no books have been more valued and revered. Owen Davies illuminates the many fascinating forms these recondite books have taken and exactly what these books held. At their most benign, these repositories of forbidden knowledge revealed how to make powerful talismans and protective amulets, and provided charms and conjurations for healing illness, finding love, and warding off evil. But other books promised the power to control innocent victims, even to call up the devil. Davies traces the history of this remarkably resilient and adaptable genre, from the ancient Middle East to modern America, offering a new perspective on the fundamental developments of western civilization over the past two thousand years. Grimoires shows the influence magic and magical writing has had on the cultures of the world, richly demonstrating the role they have played in the spread of Christianity, the growth of literacy, and the influence of western traditions from colonial times to the present.

Magic Squares and Tree of Life: Western Mandalas of Power
By Nineveh Shadrach

Within the pages of this book lies one of the most powerful mandalas of the Western Mystery Tradition. For the first time in English, Nineveh Shadrach has lifted the veil on a magic square whose properties astonished Magi of an age long past. They hid this square from the uninitiated with arcane terms such as the red sulfur and great elixir. They attributed its power to the rise of figures such as Alexander the Great. For hundreds of years advanced adepts of Western Occultism had no inkling of the existence of such a powerful magical artifact. Now you do. You'll expand your knowledge of authentic ancient sacred magic when you get: a) A partial translation of an ancient manuscript, revealing some of its secrets b) The blueprint for constructing this mandala of power to awaken its energy in your life c) Advanced teachings of esoteric numerology that shed light on its mysteries d) Ten additional variations, each designed to fully manifest the spiritual power of the emanations of the Tree of Life. This book is not for beginners or for those looking for quick fix spells. Anyone who has dug in hidden places in search of secret knowledge that can change lives will find a master key inside. All that is left is for you to use that key and unleash the ancient power of kings.

The rites here 'set the scene' and after all the poems and invocations are uttered, the point is reached in the rite where the magus has to make his/her direct connection, and to draw inspiration from the stellar well directly. The rites here are the beginning steps on your stellar journey, it is recommended that you write your own poems and invocations to the constellations and make your Path to the stars. This is a highly accessible, succinct and practical book on this complex subject. It is written in such a way that it can be used as a manual and workbook for practicing stellar magic or simply read for gaining insight into star lore.

To Perfect This Feast:
The Gnostic Mass
By James Wasserman

Drawing on nearly half a century of regular performance of the Gnostic Mass--and the countless classes and training sessions they have conducted during their O.T.O. careers--James and Nancy Wasserman (Bishops Tahuti and Mara) offer a coherent look at the ritual described by Aleister Crowley as the central ritual of [the O.T.O. s] public and private celebration. With no attempt to improve upon the teachings of the Master, they elucidate a method of performing the Mass whose entire rationale is a strict adherence to the instructions given in Liber XV. The authors have striven to understand the meaning of Crowley s text penned in the white-hot fury of his 1913 inspiration and extract the relevant spiritual teachings embedded within this elegant ritual. A series of insights, beginning in December of 2005 e.v., revealed solutions to long-hidden performance mysteries. The authors were encouraged to share these with a broader audience. If you are interested in Aleister Crowley and the Gnostic Mass, this book will teach you how to perform it in a manner that conforms to his instructions.

The Weiser Concise
Guide to Aleister Crowley
By Richard Kaczynski (Author), James Wasserman (editor)

In addition to the fascinating biographical sketch drawn by Richard Kaczynski, author of the classic biography Perdurabo, this book offers Crowley's teachings in his own words. A carefully chosen series of his instructions for concentration, meditation, magick, invocation, even sex magick are included. Crowley's descriptions of the teaching Orders A:.A:. and OTO are presented, along with the Creed of EGC. In addition, a suggested reading list of Crowley's "top-eleven" most important books is enhanced by an extensive bibliography for further in-depth research. This is the first and only introductory book that does not pretend to improve upon the Master's writings, but attempts to showcase them into a coherent introduction to his spiritual system.

Advanced Magick for Beginners:
A New Paradigm
By Alan Chapman

The author assumes no previous knowledge, only a willingness to explore what magick offers, yet it's apparent to anyone with a background in the subject that Alan Chapman is drawing on a wide range of experience, from classical Crowleyean Magick to eastern metaphysics, and back again to Discordianism and Chaos Magick. Chapman's writing-style is humorous, direct, seductively logical, and his enthusiasm for the benefits of magick is both tangible and infectious. The novice magician will indeed find themselves equipped to commence all sorts of magickal operations: trance work, enchantment, divination, and even some of the higher forms of spiritual development. To experienced magicians, Chapman offers a subtler challenge: he revitalizes magick by cutting it free from the extreme relativism Chaos Magick bequeathed, provocatively redefining it as: "the art, science and culture of experiencing truth."

Meta-Magick: The Book of ATEM:
Achieving New States of Consciousness Through NLP, Neuroscience and Ritual
By Philip H. Farber

Philip Farber combines traditional ritual sensibilities with contemporary concepts of neuro-linguistics and memetics to create a unique entity - Atem. In this instance, the essence of an entity is encoded in a book and activated by the reader. At the same time, the book is a comprehensive manual of evocation, containing dozens of easy-to-follow rituals and exercises for exploring and creating magical entities of every sort. Farber teaches readers to wake up from their habitual trance, to reprogram themselves to stand in the Mystery without unnecessary mystification. This supercharged fusion of tried-and-true magical and psychological techniques moves beyond trauma, healing, and recovery into self-fulfillment and self-transformation. Combining both disciplines with methods such as intentionality, autohypnosis, visualization, personification, and experiential journeys, Farber creates a powerful system that opens the way to peak experiences, self-knowledge, even cosmic consciousness. Rather than importing standardized healing images, readers learn to create their own emergent metaphors, their own creative strengths and flexible freedom. Atem is a living Magus, an icon for the twenty-first century. Part transpersonal shaman, part inner guide, part inner healer, part role model, Atem becomes a personal therapist, a guide to self-discovery and self-initiation. Atem, as healing fiction, helps readers to create their own breakthroughs, their own catharsis - emotional clearing that frees energy from internal conflict to flow creatively into new expressions.

A Field Guide to Otherkin
By Lupa

The Otherkin community is a small but growing subculture of people who identify in some way--spiritually, metaphorically, etc.--as Other than human. Some resonate with dragons, while others believe they were elves in another life, and still others identify as wolves, great cats, and other animals. Of course, this all may seem a little odd to those who aren't Otherkin. What do Otherkin believe? Why do we believe these things? How does being Otherkin affect how we relate to the world around us--and ourselves? A Field Guide to Otherkin offers answers straight from over 100 survey respondents, collected by Lupa, herself a wolf therianthrope, and elaborated upon by her. A Field Guide to Otherkin is designed to inform both Otherkin and non-Otherkin about the community and the people and beliefs that create it. Rather than being a collection of statistics, it is a look into the lives of Otherkin, qualitative rather than quantitative.

Fang and Fur, Blood and Bone:
A Primal Guide to Animal Magic
By Lupa

The result of nearly a decade of intense study and practice by the author of animal magics of all sorts. This isn't your average book on the topic though. Lupa wanted to provide the working magician, regardless of background, with a guidebook to incorporating animal magic into their practice. This includes everyone from Chaos magicians to totemists to Wiccans, witches and pagans and so on. She wrote it primarily from the viewpoint of an experimental magician, so it tends to be quite straightforward and matter-of-fact. Not only does the book delve into the usual realms of totemism and familiars, creating animal-based entities and shapeshifting, but also the use of animal parts in magic and a (highly disclaimered) chapter on animal sacrifice. Look for other odds and ends like cryptozoology, pop culture influences, and therianthropy, among much mor. Fang and Fur, Blood and Bone: A Primal Guide to Animal Magic fills in the blanks in the realm of animal magic.

Enochian Vision Magick:
An Introduction and Practical Guide to the Magick of Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelley
By Lon Milo DuQuette

Dr. John Dee (1527-1608) was one of the greatest minds of the Elizabethan Age, and his system of angelic communication was the result of the most dramatic magical operation ever recorded. It has survived to become the cornerstone of the modern ceremonial magician's practice. In 1582 Dee and his clairvoyant partner Edward Kelley made magical contact with a number of spiritual entities who identified themselves as angels - the same that communicated with Adam, Enoch, and the patriarchs of the Old Testament. Over the next three years they revealed to Dee and Kelley three distinct magical systems of vision magick. The third and last of these incorporated a series of "calls" to be recited in an angelic language in order to raise the consciousness of the magician to a level where angelic contact is possible. Best-selling author and magician, Lon Milo DuQuette, who has practiced Dee's system for over twenty-five years, has seized upon elements of the original Dee material overlooked by adepts of the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley, and other modern magicians, and brought them to light in Enochian Vision Magick. DuQuette offers the expert and novice alike the practical means by which they can become attuned in the same simple step-by-step manner that first prepared Dee and Kelley. There has never been a book on Enochian magick like this one.

Goetia of Dr. Rudd: Angels and Demons of Liber Malorum Spirituum Seu Goetia Lemegeton Clavicula Salomanis
By Stephen Skinner

"The Goetia" is the most famous grimoire after the Key of Solomon. This volume contains a transcription of a hitherto unpublished manuscript of the Lemegeton which includes four whole grimoires: "Liber Malorum Spituum seu Goetia"; "Theurgia-Goetia"; "Ars Paulina" (Books 1 & 2); and, "Ars Almadel". This was owned by Dr Thomas Rudd, a practising scholar-magician of the early seventeenth century. There are many editions of the "Goetia", of which the most definitive is that of Joseph Peterson, but here we are interested in how the "Goetia" was actually used by practising magicians in the 16th and 17th century, before the knowledge of practical magic faded into obscurity. To evoke the 72 demons listed here without the ability to bind them would be foolhardy indeed. It was well known in times past that invocatio and ligatio, or binding, was a key part of evocation, but in the modern editions of the "Goetia" this key technique is expressed in just one word 'Shemhamaphorash', and its use is not explained. This volume explains how the 72 angels of the Shem ha-Mephorash are used to bind the spirits, and the correct procedure for safely invoking them using special seals incorporating the necessary controlling angel, whose name is also engraved on the breastplate and Brass Vessel.

The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses:
Or Moses' Magical Spirit-art
By Joseph Peterson

The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses, arguably one of the most popular magick books ever published, contains two secret apocrypha ascribed to Moses, perhaps pseudepigraphically. The book consists of a collection of texts which claim to explain the magick Moses used to win the biblical magick contest with the Egyptian priest-magicians, part the Red Sea, and perform other miraculous feats. It includes instruction in the form of invocations, magick words, and seals for calling upon the angels to affect worldly ends, from the sublime (calling down a plague of locusts and frogs upon your enemy) to the mundane (getting more money). Many manuscripts and printed pamphlet versions circulated in Germany in the 1800s, and an English translation by Johann Scheible first appeared in New York in 1880 that had not been corrected or re-edited until now. In creating this restored, corrected edition, Joseph Peterson drew on Scheible's final edition of the text and his original sources. It will be of great interest to those who have suffered through prior editions and anyone looking for a traditional source of Western magick. * Used in various modern traditions of American folk magick, from Pennsylvania Dutch hexmeisters and contemporary eclectic magicians, to voodoo practioners and African American root workers. * Extensively illustrated with over 100 magical seals, signs, and sigils.

The Dark Arts of Immortality:
Transformation through War, Sex, & Magic
By Ross G. H. Shott

If you had the power within your reach to insure your own immortality, would you risk all to grasp it? Think about it. No longer would you plead for the mercy of others. No longer would you bow to invisible masters. No longer would you struggle for table scraps. You could become master of your own destiny. You become as God. Drawing on the findings of science, religion, sociology, psychology, philosophy, mythology, history, ancient texts, and metaphysics, The Dark Arts of Immortality: Transformation through War, Sex, & Magic explains how to harness and augment the energy of our innate drives. Through personal combat, sexual fantasy, and mystic rituals the death drive (mortido), sex drive (libido), and growth drive (physis) can provide doorways to supra-consciousness. These core altered states of being (fury, ecstasy, and exaltation) grant preternatural physical, mental, and spiritual abilities. The synthesis of these attributes will elevate personal power in this world and allow one to manifest a divine Being in the afterlife.

Grimorium Verum
By Joseph H. Peterson

Grimorium Verum is one of the most notorious handbooks of black magic -- one of the few that deals openly with spirits of darkness. People have long sought the aid of non-physical beings; the biblical king Solomon in particular had a reputation since ancient times for commanding demons. There are many texts purporting to reveal Solomon's methods, but most are extremely complicated and difficult. Grimorium Verum is one of the easier texts, but also one of the most sinister. It includes a catalog of specific demons and how to draw on their powers. This new critical edition includes a fresh translation based on all the major sources, complete French and Italian texts, and 5 other appendices.

Yoga for Magick
By Nancy Wasserman, James Wasserman

Yoga today connotes many images and ideas-from holy men on a high mountaintop to throngs of young women toting designer mats. Yoga, meaning "union," is actually a many-layered discipline designed to help an individual attain health, serenity, focus, and ultimately, union with the Divine. Aleister Crowley was one of the first Europeans to practice yoga and believed the practice was essential to spiritual growth, stating that "Magick is a Pyramid built layer by layer. The work of the Body of Light-with the technique of Yoga-is the foundation of the whole." This succinct and uniquely helpful book explores the frequently overlooked importance of bringing a healthy body and a clear-thinking mind to the practice of ceremonial magick or Wicca. While many books on magick discuss the importance of ritual, almost none point to the physical, spiritual, and moral quality necessary to make those rituals effective. Spiritual power demands physical health and the contemporary western practitioner can learn much from the ancient tradition of yoga.
